Established in 1986, Realty Advocates is a California licensed real estate brokerage. We are also members of the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, and the Berkeley Association of Realtors. Realty Advocates Co-Founder Brett Weinstein also holds the National Association of Realtors Sustainable Property Designation for expertise in Green building and remodeling.

Hal Feiger was born and raised in Berkeley. Brett Weinstein has been here for 30 years. We know the good neighborhoods, street by street. We know about the schools, both public and private, with children in both systems. We know about local institutions, about great restaurants, and bookstores, and all the little things that make the incredibly diverse East Bay a vibrant and desirable place to live.

For sellers, we deliver “top of the market” home sale prices in addition to lower fees. While many Bay Area real estate firms charge home sellers the traditional 6% commission, we charge 4 to 4.5%. For example, on a $700,000 home sale, the difference in commissions will put up to $14,000 more in your pocket.. We provide the full range of services to our clients, without the premium price tag. Since our inception in 1986, we have saved our clients literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions.

For buyers, the crucial ingredient is focus. Realty Advocates makes a unique pledge: Each of our agents will take on no more than four active buyers at any given time.
